Handcolored etching on paper with margins; plate mark: 281 x 347 mm, total: 319 x 369 mm; two sheets joined together on the verso; some smudges along the margins, otherwise in fair condition.
Hand colored view of the square in front of the Vijver in The Hague (gezicht op de Vijvberg in Den Haag). On the center is the Binnenhof, on the right the Gevangenpoort and on the left the Vijverberg. As the inscription refers, the print is after a painting that was hanging in the town hall of The Hague.
Titled below: 'Oud Gezigt van de Plaats over de Vijver, Vijverberg en 's-Graven-Hof, na een schilderye hangende op t' Stadhuis van den HAGE.' Signed at bottom: 'G.v. Giessen Del. / R. Boitet Excud: Cum Privil'.
