The Judgement of Solomon; Solomon sits on a throne in the center of a loggia; a soldier dangles a child by the leg and brandishes a scimitar; behind the soldier a woman beseeches Solomon; after Floris. Dated, with the publisher's address: 'H.Cock.excud. Cum gratia et privilegio. 1556'. Signed on the right: 'FRA. FLORIS INVE'. Lettered at bottom, in two lines: 'REX SALOMON ... EO.3. REG.3'. As from the Hollstein: 'Plate in the inventory of Hieronymus Cock's widow Volcxken Diericx [...]. Related painting in Antwerp (Koninklijke Museum voor Schoone Kunsten, inv. 663, panel, 123*208 cm [...]. Drawing in reverse of the print attributed to Floris school, unlocated (brush in brown, grey, and red ink, with yellow oil paint, 44.5 x 59.8 cm; old inscription in ink at lower left on verso: 'F: Floris;' repeated in pencil lower right on recto [...]'.
